Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 15

“Are you ready?” I ask Bonnie.
She gives me a threatening look, “If you’re teasing because their family thinks I’m a weirdo, then no. But if you’re serious, then,” she sighs, “I guess I am.”
I give her an encouraging smile. “Bonnie, don’t get nervous. I’m sure their family is going to love you. It just takes a while, you know. No parent is cool when people date their kids. Trust me, I know. Trust me, I know.” Of course, I know. Try being the daughter of the town sheriff, then talk to me about overprotectiveness.
Giving me a nod, she swallows in an uneasy lump in her throat and opens the car door. I open the door from my side and clutch my purse ever so tightly. My eyes wander around the venue. Looks exactly like how I remembered, but more presentable. It’s now a museum after all. Not that there was anything wrong with the place before the renovation.
The renovation just gave the place a little more excitement and flare. It brings more sophistication and modernization to a primal looking structure. A water propelling fountain sit opposite the mouth of the museum, and a plant silhouette of an exposed woman stand beside the fountain. It gave the place more artistry than its original blueprint.
A man wearing a hat escorts me to the door. Along the doors await the beautiful and blonde, Rebekah Mikaelson along with her elder brother, Elijah. I didn’t expect to encounter Rebekah tonight. Elijah, I’m prepared for, but the sister? She’s still not over me protected with my own load of vervain — well, Bonnie’s load — so I thought she would be scouring the whole town searching for her own dummy to torture to release her anger.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 14

Breakfast with Bonnie and Matt is the closest thing we can have similar to a Mystic Falls get-together. The diner at 5th street was so homey and simple. A small, quiet diner that is perfect to have breakfast with some close friends. “So, when can I meet this perfect boyfriend?” Matt asked.
“Soon,” Bonnie replies. “If you haven’t realized Matt, you’ve actually been totally AWOL to us since you met Cami. Any explanations for that?”
She teasingly raises both eyebrows. He sheepishly replies, “She’s just so great, you know? She keeps talking about these Psychology things that is killing me because I knew nothing about it, but for some odd reason, it keeps me around. It’s a trait of hers that I find interesting.”
I bow my head, looking down to my eggs and smile. The two friends I have seated with me in the booth are both happily dating, while I am still mortified of the man I want to be with. I have actually planned today to be the day that I finally make amends with Klaus Mikaelson. Well, I was hoping. “You better be serious about her, Matt. We really plan on becoming friends with the girl, so don’t mess it up,” I say.
He smiles at me. “I won’t,” he says, taking his cup of coffee with him. “I should go back take care of the supermarket. Vicki might get back early from Mystic Falls, and I don’t want her to get in trouble with the staff.”
Bonnie stands up, “We’ll walk you.” I get up from the booth together with Matt and the three of us walk the streets together on the way to Matt’s shop. “Have you heard from Elena, Matt?”

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 13

“Caroline?” a whisper and a knock interrupts my slumber for the night. I look up the clock; it is only a quarter after midnight. I groan, giving out a hint that I am aware of her calling. The door opens, “Are you awake?”
I let out a soft giggle, “Barely.” Sitting up on bed, I rest my head on the headboard. She climbs up the bed, lying beside me. “You’re home late,” I sleepily utter.
She sighs out, “Remember when Kol mentioned a fine dining restaurant that his family liked?” I hum to her my agreement. “Well, we decided to have dinner there and it seems like his family thought it was a good idea too.” My eyes pop open and I sit up on a sitting position immediately after hearing what she said. “Yeah, his family.”
“Who was there?” a certain curly haired British bachelor perhaps? I mentally said to myself. I didn’t want to sound too eager for assurance of Klaus’ presence, but I am too intrigued to sound insouciant.
“Well, the bitchy sister was there,” she says. Rebekah. Bitchy, indeed! “I think the oldest of them, too. Finn, right?” I nod. “Then,” she made a short pause, “you’ll never guess who else was there.”
Please say Klaus. Please say Klaus. Please say Klaus.

Fifty Shades of Klaus (Trailer)

I definitely have posted this before on my other blog. But I didn't realize that  haven't shared it here until now! So.... for those who still haven't seen it! This is the trailer to my Fanfiction (which is still ongoing! I promise. My finals just ended.)

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 12

My phone beeps with the incoming message.
Need you to cover for the firm in the art exhibit this coming Friday. Write a critique about it. Submit it as soon as possible.
The message is from an unknown number I didn’t recognize. It’s probably Marcel, or the chief editor. I hide my phone in my purse and take another swing on the bottle of beer in front of me as I watch my best friend dance with her boyfriend. I assume too much from her. Yes, she promised me a celebration later tonight, but she never mentioned not having to invite Kol.
Maybe I’m just really not use to her being in a relationship. This is the first time I’ve seen her be in a serious one, which makes the matter even worst because her first serious one is a vampire. I sigh, taking another swing of alcohol.
This is going to be bad for her. The whole relationship is going to go down the drain — well, that is if he doesn’t drain her first. I love Bonnie, but the concept of vampirism is still so new to me and I find it sickening. They’re monsters, I know. I’ve watched the Twilight movie and Buffy the vampire slayer. The media might try to make others seem noble like how the Cullens are, but that was for mere entertainment.
I know better than to believe that those kinds of vampires exist just because they believe in the greater good. Maybe there are vampires as such that exist, but it’s obviously just because of the recent movies that gave them the idea of it. Those vampires must have such a dire love life that they decide to take on that challenge in hopes of finding their own Bella. I think it makes them seem desperate, not romantic.
“Why aren’t you joining us for a dance?” Bonnie asks, taking the seat opposite mine. I notice her looking down to my bottle of beer, so I push it towards her. She smiles and sips from it. “Thanks.” She and Kol sits side by side together on the seats opposite mine, as I stay the only single girl in the booth.
I give them a small smile, “My latest club escapade isn’t exactly worth the trip down memory lane. Honestly though, I’m fine on my own. Go have fun.”
Kol gives his girl a dopey-eyed look. It made me want to gag, but I let out a little chuckle instead. They look so stupidly in love. I sigh. Perhaps it makes more sense for me to let go of my frustration for their love affair. It’s not entirely that bad. The only matter that gets in the way is my hatred for vampires. Their relationship isn’t really my business. And it seems like Kol really loves her.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 11

Stumbling towards my doorstep, I stagger at the sight of Bonnie and Kol kissing tenderly without a care in the world. I cringe. He’s wrong for her. He’s a monster! I stride my way to the door, “Seriously, Bonnie? And you can’t take this somewhere else?” They tear apart from each other, both giving me a stern look. Kol scoffs in his very Kol-like way.
“I’m sorry. Kol was just about to leave.” She says. I roll my eyes, pushing open our door. I brush pass them as if they were nonexistent. With that, of course my best friend would notice. She hurriedly follows behind me, leaving her visitor unattended. “Care, do you want to talk about it?”
Stripping off my boots, I shoot her an infuriated look, “Nope. Go ahead and suck on your man’s face all night. See if I care.”
Bonnie scoffs in a sarcastic manner, “Wow. You are the best!” she says with the most sarcasm I have ever heard from her, “And I mean, no other person’s best friend can be any less supportive with anyone’s boyfriend drama. You’re just,” she pauses, lost for words of insult, “one of a kind.” She turns her back on me. I sigh in regret. Walking after her without any shoes, I wanted to apologize.
However, Kol walking into the house made me halt. His predacious eyes met mine, making me wince in fear. His eyes travel from my head to toe until it went back up and stopped at my neck. I guzzle in horror. I take a step back, keeping a huge space between us, but he didn’t move. “He fed on you,” he mumbled.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 10

"Actually Caroline,” I heard Elijah's voice from behind me. I turn to face him, “I had a talk with Rebekah and she told me that you have acquired some vervain. I trust you will tell me where you have garnered such herbs?”
Raising an eyebrow at him, “What? No.” I said. “She has to be lying. I didn’t.”
He keeps his composure, “I am asking you in a far less vigorous manner than the way she did. I expect you to speak the truth. I warned you how protective I can be when my family is involved. Knowing about vervain discerns you as a threat, Caroline.”
“Then you should know that I wouldn’t even think of messing with you! I honestly don't know what you're talking about.” I admitted. There was a hint of enmity in his eyes that warns me that I should be afraid. What are they?
Before I rapidly ran for the hills, a chuckling Klaus Mikaelson explicates the issue. “I gave it to her.” Two heads turn to the king's whereabouts, “I gave her a drink laced with vervain.” What? When was that? “She is not aware of it. I don't find this as much of an issue, brother. Nothing anyone should worry about.”
Finn approaches his brother with a pair of menacing eyes, “You clearly underestimate your night-walkers.” Night-walkers?! The younger Mikaelson displays a notion of sovereignty but the older brother does not cower. “Do you fathom the amount of rage they would be filled with after finding out that you provided their prey with an upper-hand?”
“I merely did her a favor. She is not capable of protecting herself in this town and I cannot be there to fend her against those monsters.” He retorts.
Finn is almost shouting this time, “She is human!” He lets out a frustrated breath, “You do not realize how this affects our people. Or have you forgotten that you are unable to create more hybrids ever since Mother came back? She resents you and if she learns how you risked our family again, there will be no one to stop me from ripping your head off.”
“Whoa!” I interjected. “Can you both stop?” I got in the middle of them, “Nobody is ripping anyone's head off, okay?” I stopped still in between them. If anyone's head is being ripped off, it's probably mine. I know the danger I put myself in for getting involved, but I am not just going to stand there watching them as they fight over something because of me. “Can anyone tell me what's going on?” I ask, turning my head to Elijah for an explanation.
He stands upright, fixes his suit and looks at me, “He hasn't told you.”
“Tell me what?” I ask.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 9

I make my way to the mouth of the mansion. Giving it a light knock, I wait. No longer than two minutes after my knock, the door opens; holding it is a petite woman with jet-black hair. Her skin is a hint darker than Bonnie's, but her face wasn't familiar at all. I confess to making very little research about their family but I'm very sure that there are only two Mikaelson women.
Who is this? “I'm here to see Klaus?” I said. She didn't reply. She just stood there, suspiciously staring intently into my eyes. I flinch in discomfort. “Klaus Mikaelson,” I clarify.
She glares at me with an aura of dominance surrounding her. I gulp. Who is she?! “You're not on the list. Kindly leave immediately.”
I gape at her. This is unbelievable! Elijah forced me to come here only so that their butler — or whatever she is — could tell me to scram? No. I'm not letting this happen. “Could you double check? I'm Caroline Forbes. I'm here for the interview.”
Rolling her eyes for what seemed like a decade of silence, she smirks arrogantly. “I’ve said it once and I'll say this again. Not. On. The. List.” It's taking all of me not to attack her. Outrageous! Just incredibly, maddening.
“You didn't even check!” I spat. Sighing in exasperation, I mentally decided to go back home. This is pointless. I am not sitting by and allow their family to make a fool out of me. Before I was even able to turn my back to her, I hear a woman's voice in the background.
“Mindy, what did I tell you about opening the door?” she pauses, “Didn't I tell you never to open the door for us, especially when someone's in the mansion?” That sexy, sultry voice doesn't leave my long-term memory. That was definitely Katherine.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 8

“Caroline Forbes from Q & S Journ. I have a memo coming from my boss that says I am an intern. Do you need the memorandum as proof?” I asked.
A journalism workshop is held at a convention center in the city. Marcel insisted that I attend to have me all prepped for the interview with the Mikaelson's. But honestly, I don't know how I feel about the upcoming interview.
The lady behind the desk shook her head, “No, Ma'am. I see your name on the list. Here is your membership I.D. and please find a seat. The seminar will be starting soon. Mr. Gerard always have a few seats reserved up the front and from the lack of attendees, I predict some to be empty now. Would you need me to escort you?”
Handing me the I.D. with my name, she smiles. I gave her a nod, “Yes please. I’m not familiar with the place.”
She giggles, getting up from her seat and leading the way. “It’s natural for you to feel that way. Mr. Gerard never briefs his interns in times like this. There are actually a couple of men from your company, who have signed in for the day. You could start getting acquainted with them.”
I followed from behind her. There was an immense number of journalists present. Some looking very professional, but there were a few that looked as clueless as I do. The lady from the desk halted and said, “These are Mr. Gerard’s reservations,” gesturing to four rows of chairs, three of which were filled. She smiles, “You may sit anywhere you please.”

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 7

One Monday morning while I was working my shift at the supermarket, I saw Matt come in with Cami beside him. I glare. Yeah, sure, rub it on my face! I sighed, Cami is an awesome girl but I'm just too pissed with Matt to even care about her awesomeness. He couldn't just treat me like the way he did and expect me to forgive him without an apology.
I walked to him, head held high with all intentions of embarrassing him in front of his maiden. There was a certain hint of pride in my eyes as I walked but it eventually vanished the moment I saw Cami wrap her arms around Matt's arm. They're together. My shoulders dropped.
They must've really liked each other to have sped into the relationship like that. Not everything is about you, Caroline. I sigh, recalling Matt’s words to me. Rolling my eyes, I walk up to the two of them, “Cami,” I looked at the pretty blonde, “Matt,” acknowledging the blond boy.
“Caroline,” both of them said back, giggling at the fact that they said it concurrently. They look good together. I really shouldn’t be interfering with their happiness just because I didn’t have it.
I smile at them, “Matt, I just came to tell you that I got this internship with the firm that I’ve been dying to get into. So, I was hoping that you could let me go off and resign with my week’s pay, will that be alright? I hope it wouldn't be much trouble.”
He nods, “That'll be fine. Can you drop by on Wednesday? Or should I send them to your house?”
“I'll come over. I'll be gone by the end of my day shift.” Pausing, “I need to start interviewing the Mikaelson’s for my article. Will that be okay?”
“Oh yeah! That's great, Caroline. I'm happy for you,” his eyes looked back to mine with hesitation. “I'll see you around then,” finishing it with a smile.
Nodding, I gave them both a smile and started walking away. I lied about the interview thing. Truth is, Marcel asked for me. He wanted to discuss some ground rules with me and tip me for the upcoming interview. Klaus hasn't called, but I was hoping that he would anytime soon now.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 6

In the beauty of the manor, Klaus helped me get to know him better by sharing about his relationship with his siblings. It was strange how he stiffened the second I asked him to tell me about them. But eventually, he grins at me, and talks like a parrot.
“Elijah is the oldest. He is the moral one amongst us siblings. He would always stand for what's right, even if he had to turn his back on us. However, he somehow manages to make it up to us in his own strange way. Family is greatly important to him.” He gave me a wolfish grin and continued, “Second is Finn. He is the most,” he paused, “well, for the lack of better words, troubled. He is always so paranoid about everything. He takes insignificant things and turn them into a whole new kind of danger. The introvert that he is hates the fact that I possess this much power over the town.
“I would be third of the Mikaelson men — apart from the dead.”
I raise an eyebrow at him in curiosity, “Apart from the dead? Did someone die?”
He frowns, bowing his head in the process. Something about the way he looks seem pitiable. I don't quite get it, but the way he bowed his head made my heart clench. “I had an older brother. His name was Aaron, but he died a long time ago.” Saying that, he raised his head, giving me a smile.
That smile would probably have made me smile too, but I couldn't make myself do it. It's so sad, “I'm sorry. What happened to him?” I asked.
He sighs, not with sadness but rather frustration. “Too many centuries ago to matter.”
Centuries? What is it with this man and exaggerations? Why does he always use centuries? If he used years, it would still mean all the same, but he just always had to make it sound a lot worse with centuries. “Okay,” I said, letting go of the matter. “And how would you describe yourself?”

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 5

Morning came as the moon flew to hide. It’s been five days since my last encounter with him. Sitting down, I looked out the window. The sun is so bright, and eye catching. It’s beautifully, blinding. I stretched out my arms and legs before entering the shower. The hot water cascaded down my aching back. It felt really good.
I dried my hair with a towel, hearing Bonnie’s knock as I did. Opening the door without permission, Bonnie started talking, “How dare he does that to me?! He stood me up, Caroline! I can’t believe he stood me up!”
“Kol?” I asked. She nodded. “Well, you warned me about Klaus. You should’ve been more careful with his brother. How did he stand you up?”
She sighed, “We were supposed to meet yesterday night for a movie, but he didn’t show up. I tried calling him, but it always went to voice mail. He just called now saying, ‘something terrible befell on my brother. I’m sorry,’” she says, trying to imitate the charming accent of a certain brown-haired bachelor, “then he hung up! Without another word, he hung up on me! How do I react to that?”
Brother? Which brother? Elijah? Or… Klaus? I frowned, shaking the thought out of my head. “I have to get to work. We’ll talk about it later, okay?” I gave her a brief hug before heading out the door. Work should probably get my mind off of him.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 4

The other end started to ring. He answered, “Caroline.”
I lay down on my bed, slipping my shoes off of my feet, “Look, I'm super sorry for missing out on your visit, but you should've told me you were coming in the first place! So, I don't a hundred percent blame myself.”
I heard him chuckle, “Don't be like this with me, Caroline. I have my exams coming up. What's wrong?”
Smiling, “What? I can't call up my best friend because I'm bored and have nothing to do in life?”
He laughed, “We both know you always have something to do in your life. Besides, you're not the type to call for no reason. You have Bonnie there for your boy troubles. Meaning that when you call me, it’s either urgent or very significant.”

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 3

By the time we got home, the moon had already passed and the sun was already starting to rise. I slipped out of the dress Klaus bought me and laid it over the couch in my room. Undoing my hair, I hear a knock. “It’s open,” I shouted. Bonnie let herself inside the room as I continued minding my own business.
“I promised to explain everything,” she said. I gave her a nod, “I can’t tell you all the exact details, because it would reveal Klaus’ secret. And one thing that I am fairly certain of is that no one can mess with the King and get to live another day. However, there are some things that I could tell you.”
“So talk,” I sat down on the bed, curling up.
She swallowed, “I can’t tell you exactly why we knew each other, but I can assure you that Klaus and I are not, and have never been romantically involved.”
I nod, “Okay. Well, if there’s anything else that you could actually tell me,” I say, climbing off the bed and walking to the door. I gesture to the door as I opened it, “Please don’t hesitate to stop by. My door is always open,” I say sarcastically. I don’t want to fight with her, but it hurts me to know that she doesn’t trust me at all.
“There is,” she said, getting up to close the windows and fans. “Close the door and get over here. I have something to show you.” I made a face. “Trust me,” she mouthed. I let out a heavy sigh, slamming the door shut. She grabbed a pair of scissors from my night table and ripped open one of my pillows.
“Hey!” I shouted, climbing back on bed.
She scattered the feathers on my bed, smiling. “Be patient.” She sits on the foot of my bed, “I need to swear you to secrecy.”
I kept my expression jaded. “It’s kind of a bad day for that kind of stuff.”
“Swear. ‘Cause I’m not supposed to be showing you this.” I kept silent. “Look, I know I’ve been kind of MIA when you need me the most. And I suck. But you need to swear.”
I sigh, “Okay. I swear.”
“Okay.” She made gestures as she spoke, “There’s no windows open, right?”
I looked around from left to right. “Right,” nodding a little.
“There’s no fan. No air-conditioning.”
I rolled my eyes. This is ridiculous. “None! What are you doing?”
Smiling, “Grams showed me this. You’re gonna love it.” She paused with an ear-to-ear grin on her face. “Ready?” I nod lightly. She stares intently into the pile of feathers, concentrating. Placing her right hand on the air above the pile, she slowly raised her hand palm down. Surprisingly, a feather followed the wind trail her hand left.

Fifty Shades of Klaus : Chapter 2

“Wow Bonnie, you look beautiful,” Matt mumbled under his breath. The three of us decided that it be best to go together since I didn’t know anyone around other than the two of them. It’s still so awkward between me and Matt. I haven’t talked to him about this invitation and I’m not even sure that by going, it meant that I was his date.
Bonnie blushed shyly, “Thanks Matt. You look dapper.” They both exchanged smiles before looking back at me. Matt’s blue eyes moved from looking at Bonnie’s direction to mine. I witnessed the dilation of his eyes as they landed on me.
His lips parted, “Caroline,” the part on his lips slowly turning into a grin, “You look gorgeous.” I gave him a small smile and whispered, “Thanks Matt.” I saw Bonnie playfully roll her eyes at the corner of my eye. She’s probably asking us to get a room in her head.
“Caroline’s gorgeous, everyone gets it! Can we please go now? I’m so excited!” she said.
I raised an eyebrow at her, mentally asking her what’s with the rush. Matt offered me an arm for me to take, I voluntarily did. It would be rude not to, considering that he is the reason why I am invited. His car was only a Volkswagen Beetle that could sit four people. I scrambled the bottom of my dress as I headed towards the seat in front, beside the driver. But to my — and I mean, everyone’s — surprise, he opened up the passenger’s door.

Fifty Shades Klaus : Chapter 1

Desperate to get away from the party, I stormed out of the house. Really, I love Bonnie to death, but I swear if she demands me to go get the crowd another round of beer, I was going to freak out on her.
Alcohol really brings out the worst in her, but given that we were having my welcoming party, I couldn't complain. We've been best friends since elementary school back in our hometown, Mystic Falls. Her parents bought her a house here in the French Quarter of New Orleans for college and lucky for me, I only need to pay little rent.
For a while during our junior year, she treated me a little too cold from how I was used to, but her Grams died that year, so I couldn't really blame her. She managed to warm up to me again the year after, and here we are now. College!
She moved a week before I did because she didn't really have much business in town to worry about. As for me, being the control freak that I am, I still had to hand down the student council to someone who could actually handle it. April Young was a good girl, but I was too scared that she would ruin everything that I did for the school.
We still need to go back to Mystic Falls after one month for graduation, but we wanted to settle in town before 'officially' moving in.
"Hey!" I shouted at a man who bumped onto my shoulders, "Watch where you're going!" I almost fell out of balance, maybe I also had too much to drink for the night.
The man gripped my forearm very tightly, pulling me a little closer to him. His back was to me and I couldn't see his face, but he looked old from behind. He gave my arm a strong pull, jerking our faces in front of each other's. "What are —” he stopped. It took him a while to speak again, "Watch who you're bumping into, love. There are several unpleasant men in the city that you would not want to mess with."
British. Excellent. "Don't try to be coy with me with your British accent, mister. And would you be so kind as to let go of my arm?"
